Jess is the type of girl who takes care of herself (i.e. fights anyone who makes her mad) But one day, she's walking home with her (only) friend, Ruth when she's hit by lightning (duh) and get this really cool power for finding missing people in her dreams.
All through the books, Jess finds missing people, with the help of Rob (a guy she met in detention and fell madly in love with). She meet creepy guys, like a guy who hits his wife with a bottle, but goes after Jess when she takes her kid and makes the kid's mom cry.
